What does your guarantee cover?
We always aim to fit great and reliable products and materials. If something fails within its warranty period it will be replaced free of charge. (Up to a maximum of 2 years)
What are your charges?
Usually for any job less than a day we’ll charge an hourly rate, which can be seen on our home page. If it’s a bigger job, we can still work on an hourly rate or provide a quote.
What’s a labour guarantee?
A labour guarantee covers faulty workmanship on work carried out by us, up to a maximum of 2 years. See our terms and conditions for more detail.
What’s a manufactures guarantee?
A manufacturer’s guarantee included with the goods covers replacement of faulty equipment. Guarantee periods can vary, but we match our labour guarantee with the manufactures, up to a maximum of 2 years.
Do you have a minimum job size?
No – there’s no job too small, just get in touch and let us know what you need.
What’s happens with any rubbish created from the work?
If there’s any rubbish created from work carried out we will remove it at no extra cost (up to a bin bag full). If there is extensive work e.g. a rewire, we can arrange a skip which would be chargeable to the customer. Or if preferred you can dispose of any rubbish yourself.
How long does it usually take to find and fix a fault?
Faults can vary greatly. Some can be found quickly and fixed easily, others can take longer to find. On average most common problems are found and rectified within a couple of hours.
What certification do you hold?
We are NICEIC certified and compliant with the most recent legislation.
How far do you travel/what areas do you cover?
The company is based in Steeton and the majority of our work is in the areas surrounding Harrogate, Ilkley, Skipton and Keighley. However, we’re open to travelling further afield depending on the project.
Do you provide landlord inspection certificates?
Yes, we carry out electrical inspection reports on both private and rental properties, as well as business premises.
I’m buying a house, can you provide an electrical survey?
Yes. We can carry out an electrical inspection report to give you an overview of the condition of the installation.
Do you charge for estimates/quotations?
No, we don’t charge for estimates/quotations.
Do you need to turn the power off when you’re working in my home?
It depends on the work, we will always try to carry out as much work as possible without turning off the electrical supply, to keep disruption down to a minimum. However there will be times when it does need to be turned off, but we will let you know in advance.
What are your opening hours?
Typical working hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
